Protest at the Labour Party Conference 25th Sept 2005

The Reading Real Fathers For Justice did an impromptu protest outside the Labour Party Conference in Brighton, England. Prime Minister Tony Blair was apparently inside telling the party faithful what a good job he's done. Outside the Brighton Centre was a banner saying “Tony Blair Family Butcher” and “300,000 children have lost contact with their fathers under Labour”. Security was in evidence and the police took some interest in us but it was very friendly. A few press came and had a chat. It was mentioned in the Scotsman

Meanwhile, a demonstration by Fathers 4 Justice was the only protest outside the Brighton Centre.

Members of the campaign group held up a banner depicting Prime Minister Tony Blair as a bloodstained butcher with the words: "Blair and Co Family Butchers - 300,000 children have lost contact with their fathers under Labour."

It is not recorded if anyone told Tony Blair about the banner but then we wouldn't want him to lose any beauty sleep over what's happened to these fathers, right?
