'Superhero' Fathers in Court over Roads Protest - In Court Again 14 Dec 2004

Five fathers appeared in court today accused of “blocking” all the main routes into London.

The men, from the Fathers4Justice pressure group, allegedly donned superhero outfits to unfurl banners across busy roads.

The day-long protests on February 2 this year targeted the Blackwall Tunnel, the A13 Canning Town flyover, the eastbound carriageway of the M4 and the A40 at Shepherds Bush, London’s Southwark Crown Court heard.

FAMILY LAW CONFERENCE SUSPENDED IN FATHERS 4 JUSTICE PROTEST

A Family Law Conference attended by Dame Elizabeth Butler Sloss and Lord Filkin was disrupted today by a protest by Civil Rights group Fathers 4 Justice.

The National Council for Volunteer Organisations Conference held at All Saints Wharf, London N1, was disrupted when protesters stormed the building
letting of flares. As a result of the flares the fire alarms were set off,
the conference was suspended and the building evacuated.

Despite a heavy police presence both outside the building and on the canal, 15 of the 30 protesters had managed to get inside and disrupt proceedings. It is understood that 9 of the protesters have now been arrested.

Fathers4Justice Gantry 5 in court 28 Oct 2004 – F4J Supporters Welcome

Tomorrow the Gantry Five are in court. The five people, part of a protest in Feb. 2004, (Superman arrives and the police are all out of Kryptonite (Fathers 4 Justice protest on roads throughout Britain)) went up gantries above London roads. Matthaus Huber and Jolly Stanesby were above Blackwell Tunnel and Graham Manson above the A13, both to the East of London. Paul Robinson was above the M4 and Darryl Westall was above the A40, both to the West of London. All have been charged with conspiracy to endanger road users; a charge usually meant for people throwing objects on the roadway, not standing on a gantry, and making it a conspiracy charge carries more weight. The five are at Southwark Crown Court from 10am. All supporters would be welcome.

Fathers 4 Justice London website announced

There’s a new F4J website. It’s for the London branch and is at http://www.f4jlondon.co.uk/. It requires Flash which most browsers have. If you haven't got it, it will ask if you want to download it.

It has news, events and protesters court dates. There’s a comedy benefit gig at the Comedy Store in London on 15th November. Under Cunning Stunts there’s a short movie about Batman at Buckingham House and the purple powder “Funpowder” attack on Tony Blair.

Christmas 2003 4 Santas Tower Bridge protest in court 17 Jan 2005

Shortly after Spiderman famously went up a crane by the Tower Bridge, London in November 2003; four Santas spent part of Christmas on Tower Bridge itself, actually on the upper part which is a pedestrian overpass. They, Steve Battershill, Ed Gorecki, Jolly Stanesby and Mike Sadeh, were charged with being a public nuisance, which has now been changed to conspiracy to commit a public nuisance, which carries a higher sentence. The Santa 4 are in Southwark Crown Court on the 17th January 2005. All supporters would be welcome.

Batman not charged so far in Buckingham Palace Fathers 4 Justice protest

Jason Hatch famously climbed onto Buckingham House (aka Buckingham Palace) as Batman (Batman must die! New movie? No, Fathers 4 Justice protest and Please miss can the tabloids come out to play? Fathers 4 Justice Batman Buckingham Palace protest causes feeding frenzy). To date has not been charged with anything. Trespassing is a civil matter, not a crime, providing no damage is done. Apparently a charge of criminal damage is being considered. He inadvertently damaged a wire that is meant to keep pigeons off. He is currently on bail to return to Charing Cross Police Station on the 7th December to see if he going to be charged.

David Pyke, Robin, who did not make it to the ledge has not been charged.

Spiderman, Dave Chick, in court Monday 25th October. London Eye Fathers 4 Justice protester charged with public nuisance

Spiderman is in court Monday 25th October. Previously he was found not guilty of being a public nuisance when he went up a crane at the Tower Bridge in November 2003. He faces the same charge for going up the London Eye in September. (See Spiderman up the London Eye. Fathers 4 Justice protester strikes again)

He's at Camberwell Magistrates Court. Anyone who wants to support him should be there around 930am.

Spiderman, Superman, Batman and Robin, Fathers 4 Justice Cliton Suspension Bridge protesters, in Weston-super-Mare Mgistrates Court Wednesday 20th October

Spiderman, Superman, Batman and Robin, Fathers 4 Justice Clifton Suspension Bridge protesters, are in Weston-super-Mare Magistrates Court Wednesday 20th October. Jason Hatch (last seen as Batman at Buckingham Palace), Dave Pyke (Robin at Buckingham Palace), Mark Peacock and Pat Lennon are charged with "threatening words or behaviour". Is is difficult to see how climbing up a bridge constitutes "threatening words or behaviour" but public nuisance charges against Dave Chick, Spiderman at the Tower Bridge last November, and others, have failed; so perhaps they are looking to try more serious charges. Anyone welcome to come and support them on Wednesday 20th October around 930 am at

This is the same day as the charges against Paul Watson, the Fathers 4 Justice candidate in the Hartlepool by-election last month, who is due at Hartlepool Magistrates this Wednesday 20th October from 9am, so you will have to choose between them.

Paul Watson, the Fathers 4 Justice candidate in the Hartlepool by-election last month, is due at Hartlepool Magistrates this Wednesday 20th October from 9am. He was arrested following a purple powder throwing incident at the by-election count. He is charged with criminal damage and common assault for throwing purple powder at Jody Dunn, another candidate and also a family law barrister. Anyone who can get along to support him would be welcome.
