FATHERS' RIGHTS PROTESTER STILL ON THE BRIDGE
A protester for fathers' rights who spent the weekend on the Tamar Bridge is expected to defiantly stay on the bridge all this week. Jolly Stanesby, of Fathers 4 Justice, climbed on to the Tamar Bridge gantry at 7am on Friday and has braved cold weather all weekend to demonstrate for 'equal legal rights for fathers'.
The 35-year-old Ivybridge man will face a week of bitterly cold weather, driving rain and, perhaps, snow. But Fathers 4 Justice said he is 'made of steel' and nothing will deter him.
Motorists complained on Friday about rush-hour delays caused by Mr Stanesby and three other F4J members on the gantry.
Police have been watching Mr Stanesby. They say they will not forcefully remove him.
